About SMART Dental Ltd.

SMART Dental Ltd. picked one thing to be great at, and built everything around it. Founded in Israel in 2016, we manufacture a complete digital ecosystem for implantology — implants, multi-units, Ti-bases, scan abutments, digital analogs, and ready-made libraries for ExoCad, 3Shape and Dental Wings — so clinicians and dental laboratories get what they need without stitching together five different vendors.

Our quality management system complies with ISO 13485:2016, EU MDR 2017/745, and U.S. QSR requirements under 21 CFR 820. Our implant system holds FDA 510(k) clearance (K180598) for the U.S. market, and EU-market products carry the CE mark.

Certain catalog items may be subject to country-specific registration requirements — please confirm current status with your regional representative.

Engineering

Engineering Solutions,
Proven in the Lab

Design choices that show up in the clinic — primary stability, bone preservation, and a surgical protocol that stays predictable.

01

Knife Thread

A thread that earns its name. The sharp, rounded profile cuts in easily and maximizes contact with bone — delivering high primary stability, efficient cutting during placement, and minimal shear stress on the surrounding tissue.

02

Platform Switching

A small design shift, an outsized clinical payoff. Moving the implant–abutment junction inward from the bone crest reduces marginal bone resorption. At 1 year in function, average bone loss without platform switching runs 0.78 mm mesial / 0.90 mm distal — more than double what we see with platform switching (0.30 mm / 0.38 mm).

03

Expanding Body & Double Thread

Built for the sites that don't forgive mistakes. Apical cutting flutes allow a smaller osteotomy and gradual bone condensation — particularly useful in soft bone, extraction sockets, and immediate-loading protocols. The double-thread design doubles the insertion rate to 2.0 mm per turn.

04

Dual Spiral Channels & Dome Apex

Insertion, simplified. The dome-shaped apex adds tolerance and safety on the way in, while two spiral channels with cutting flutes create a self-tapping effect — for a surgical protocol that stays simple, safe, and fast.

05

Maximum Bone-to-Implant Contact

No gaps, no guesswork. Our thread geometry is built for dense contact across the full implant surface — maximum primary stability, not the partial contact you get when thread and bone don't quite meet.

06

SMART Surface Technology

Our proprietary treatment combines the developed porosity of SLA with the surface cleanliness of RBM — without inheriting either one's drawbacks. Independent university XPS analysis shows titanium content and contamination levels on par with leading global manufacturers.

Compatibility

Plays Well With Others — 35+ of Them

We didn't design SMART Dental components to replace the protocols you already trust; we designed them to fit inside those protocols. Compatible with more than 35 implant platforms, including Zimmer, MIS, Nobel Biocare, MegaGen, Straumann, Hiossen, Neodent Grand Morse, Dentium, Alpha Bio, and many others — so your clinic or lab keeps its proven restorative workflow, just with better parts in it.

Quality & manufacturing

Precision Isn't a Slogan Here — It's the Job

Quality has been part of SMART Dental's philosophy since day one. Every implant and prosthetic component is held to tight tolerances, with a gap-free fit at the implant–abutment junction — because in this line of work, “close enough” isn't.
